I first saw these guys accidentally in the late 80s when they opened for the Chili Peppers. They completely stole the show and blew the roof off the dump. I haven’t bought a Chili Peppers record since.

Saw him open for Big Wreck the month before in Halifax.Really impressed at his solo performance.Surfacing from the doctor album sounded great in this context as well.

Just Incredible! I had the pleasure of seeing the original lineup in the late 90's at the Grand Theatre in Sudbury and my God what a stellar performance, the sound, their writing and lyrics are top notch! After the concert I ran out to the spot by their tour bus was and Ian Thornley walks out the door and he was kind enough to talk with me and give a couple other people signatures! I remember saying to him "What an awesome performance, thank you!!!". He took the time to speak with me and being a budding musician myself that was priceless! I shook his hand and walked home on such a high! Thank you Ian for taking the time to speak with me and of course thanks to the band and all who contribute to making Big Wreck possible, you have made such a positive impact on so many people out there myself included and I can't thank you enough :) Bless you and everyone listening

The lead singer is good and does a great job. Would I pay money to see them without Ali? No.

Well I’ve been an Ali Campbell fan & UB4O fan for years & years. UB40 is always Ali & Astro & original line up, but I must admit this Matt Doyle guy is actually very good. I’m impressed

Hadn't heard of this band 30 minutes ago. Listened to 4 songs since then, quite good. Will listen to some more.

In the best way possible Ian's voice sounds even more like Chris Cornell's now. He'd be the only person capable of filling in if Soundgarden ever did another show.
